Isaac De La Cruz is a self-taught multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Brooklyn, NY. De La Cruz specializes in large scale murals and studio painting .
De La Cruz creates photorealistic portraits using experimental tones and hues portraying a surreal interpretation of the otherwise mundane and commonly overlooked occurrences of human life while capturing fleeting moments in time.
Drawing strength and inspiration from his early life growing up in the arid desert along the U.S./Mexico border, De La Cruz progressively made the choice to pursue art and capture his perspective of life through his work.
De La Cruz has painted commercial murals for multiple businesses and school districts, as well as worked closely and exhibited with the Artemizia Foundation Contemporary, Graffiti, and Street Art Museum, the Border Arts Corridor of Southern Arizona, and also became a member of the Arizona Commission on the Arts invite-only Artist Investment Program and continues to work as a supported member.
